about-lorraineABOUT ME…A TIMELINE

In 1983, aged 18 I started working full-time as a model.

In July of that year, I won the Miss Universe title and spent the next year based in New York working for the Miss Universe Corporation travelling throughout the US and some 25 countries around the world. After my year finished, I returned to NZ and resumed my modelling career in Sydney and Japan. In 1986 I opened a model agency and grooming school in Wellington called Care Of Lorraine Models and Talent until 1992 when my first child, Hilton was born. 1997 my daughter Jasmine was born and I co-authored ‘REAL – The Truth about Fashion, Beauty and Image’ with Wellington writer Frances Jones.

Since then I have continued my work as an image consultant while working full-time as a mother. In 2006 I won Dancing With The Stars with the very talented Aaron Gilmore and in 2007, I relocated to Auckland after 21 years in Wellington.

In 2009, I married Marty Crowe, and now share my time with Marty and Marty’s daughter Emma at home in Auckland, while my daughter Jasmine studies dance in Melbourne and my son Hilton, is based in Wellington.
