Karen Reid – The Healing Company and Deb Crowe-Board & Batten.

The generousity and kindness of NZ’ers makes my heart shine. During this month of May, there have been over 1800 Pink Ribbon Breakfasts to date being held throughout NZ. These breakfasts raise money for breast cancer research here in NZ. My sister in-law, Deb Crowe of Board & Batten in Makatana, hosted a Pink Ribbon Breakfast on Friday, at Matakana Market Kitchen. The event was so much fun and the love was felt. The 80 guests who supported the breakfast, were treated to a delicious feast from Matakana Market Kitchen. The Matakana community certainly showed their support with some amazing items that were kindly donated towards the silent auction and spot prizes. As an Ambassador for the NZBCF, I said a few words to express my thanks and a little insight into the wonderful work that the NZBCF does, and then everyone was into the bidding for the silent auction. I was thrilled to win the bid for an amazing gift from The Healing Company. Here are some shots from the successful breakfast.
